How to Clean Combs and Brushes

Keeping your combs and brushwoods clean is a must for keeping your hair clean and healthy. There are a couple of different ways you can make this - the boiling H2O method and the baking hot sodium carbonate method.

Boiling Water Method

1. Remove all the hair from your brushes. You can make this by holding them under running H2O and using a comb to comb the hair out.

2. Boil about 4 cups of water.

3. Pour the boiling H2O into a big bowl.

4. Add about 1/2 tsp. of detergent or bleach and stir.

5. Put your combs and brushwoods into the H2O and allow them sit down for about an hour.

6. Take them out and put them on a towel to air-dry.

Baking Sodium Carbonate Method

1. Remove all the hair from your brushes. You can make this by holding them under running H2O and using a comb to comb the hair out.

2. Find a tall, narrow container (such as a tall imbibing glass or vase) that volition clasp all the combs and brushwoods you wish to clean.

3. Fill the container 3/4 full with hot tap H2O (so the baking hot sodium carbonate will dissolve).

4. Add 1 tsp. of baking sodium carbonate to the H2O and gently stir.

5. Put your combs and brushwoods into the H2O and allow them sit down for at least an hour.

6. Take them out and put them on a towel to air-dry.

Removing Buildup

If you are a gel, mousse, or hairspray user, you will have got a buildup on your combs/brushes. If you have got buildup on your comb, you'll detect a fuzzed looking coating on them when you take them from the baking hot sodium carbonate H2O or the detergent water.

1. Since you have got already soaked the combs for an hr in either baking hot sodium carbonate or detergent water, the buildup can be gently wiped off with the abounds of an old toothbrush under running water. The abounds can acquire into the bantam spaces of a comb and clean it properly.

2. Give your combs 1 concluding rinse under running H2O to do certain all the buildup is removed.
