Wrinkle Buster Changing The Face Of Beauty

Fighting wrinkles is not easy, especially if you have lots of them. To bring back your youthful appearance, you need something that does the job effectively and efficiently. Something that's easy to apply yet good enough to provide visible and lost-lasting results.

Dermaxin appears to fit this description well since it boasts of having the right ingredients to revitalize your skin and improve your appearance. Among others, this popular cream promises to stimulate skin cells, restore the skin's smoothness and elasticity, moisturize the skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and give you great looking skin.

What exactly does Dermaxin have that other anti-wrinkle products don't? The difference is that Dermaxin contains four important ingredients that aren't found in ordinary over-priced cosmetics. These ingredients will help you win the war against aging skin and restore your youthful appearance. Dermaxin's terrific line-up of wrinkle fighters include:

Matrixyl 3000 – this powerful peptide molecule consists of several amino acids that stimulate the lower layers of the skin and promote collagen production that declines with aging. Without collagen, skin becomes dry, rough, inelastic, and wrinkled. Lack of collagen also leads to slow wound healing since this is needed by tiny cells called fibroblasts to repair skin. Matrixyl's dramatic effects on wrinkles were first presented at the 20th World Congress on Dermatology in France. Three double-blind studies showed that the longer it was used, the better skin looked. Deep wrinkles were reduced by 68 percent while moderate wrinkles were reduced by 51 percent in six months. The most impressive study was presented by Procter & Gamble Company and involved 92 women aged 35 to 55 years with moderate to severe sun-damaged skin. Those who used Matrixyl had significant improvements in wrinkle volume and skin texture.

Argireline – is another peptide with six amino acids that's known as acetyl hexapeptite-3. This was created by a Spanish company and works like Botox without the latter's side effects. Unlike Botox, Argireline is less expensive and doesn't require doctor-supervised injections. What's more, it doesn't destroy the protein involved in the release of a neurotransmitter that keeps the muscles tense and forms wrinkles. When applied to the skin, Argireline simply stops the release of that neurotransmitter and relaxes facial muscles, thereby reducing facial lines and wrinkles. A study published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science showed that a 10 percent concentration of Argireline reduced wrinkles up to 30 percent after 30 days of use.

Hyaluronic acid - also known as a glycosaminoglycan – is an effective moisturizer that helps the skin look firmer, toned, and younger, speeds up the rejuvenation of damaged skin cells, and cushions and lubricates connective tissues. It can transmit large number of water molecules into the skin as much as 1,000 times its own weight! Hyaluronic acid prevents scarring and treats premature wrinkling.

Collagen – is a natural protein found throughout the body in the skin, muscles, tendons, and bones. It keeps the skin young, soft and hydrated. We already know what happens when we age and collagen production dwindles (see discussion on Matrixyl above). By replenishing this amount, the aging process is slowed and wrinkles and other signs of aging are diminished.

These are the reasons why Dermaxin works and why it remains the most popular and most complete anti-wrinkle cream in the market today. What you see on the label is what you get. And with Dermaxin, you get only the best. Make no mistake about it. This is one product you simply can't live without.

Frugal Beauty Tricks With Lipstick

What do you do if your favorite lipstick melted in the summer heat?

Don't throw it away. That would be wasteful. You can still use it with the help of a lip brush. No doubt, it wouldn't be as glamorous or convenient as slicking it on straight from the tube, but you can still get the pretty look by dipping your lip brush into the melted lipstick and painting it onto your lips.

You can also turn some of your lipstick into a lip gloss.

Do you have a tiny travel size cream jar that's empty?

Wash and dry the jar. Then fill half of that jar with vaseline, that multipurpose petroleum jelly that every home should have. Use a clean brush to scoop some lipstick and mix it with the vaseline. For a light hint of color, a little lipstick should do the trick. If you want more color, add in more lipstick. You can even combine more than one lip color to get your ideal shade, for your perfect lip gloss.

Instead of a cream blush, you can save money by using your favorite lipstick as a cream blush. Just take a tiny dab of lipstick and apply that to the apples of your cheeks, then blend it in for that rosy glow. No need to worry about whether your blusher matches your lipstick. By getting your lipstick to double up as cheek color, you'd be certain your lipstick and cheek color match. Only catch is that if you have acne prone skin it might clog your pores. If you are prone to acne, you should stick to powder cheek color as lipstick on cheeks might give you pimples.

Get Gorgeous in 5 Minutes

Most women go through life with looks bordering on average, never realizing their true potential.

Then on the other hand there are those women who do take time out to apply make-up, but somehow they don't reach their beauty peak. They just don't get it right!

It may come as a surprise to know that you could look at least 40 percent better than you do, if you take the time, and make the effort.

Here are a few tips to get you looking your gorgeous best.

Apply foundation

Not only does foundation even out your skin tone making you look fresher, it also protects your skin from the heat, dust and pollution. Mix your foundation with a drop or two of water, or better still, apply it with a damp sponge, so doesn't coat your face heavily. Foundation should be completely invisible.

Target lips or eyes, not both

There should be one area of focus on the face: lips, or eyes. Either apply a heavy eyeliner, or a dark lipstick, not both. Indian women usually have beautiful eyes, so make the most of them by lining them with kohl and layering on the eye shadow.

Apply mascara

Apply a quick coat of mascara to your upper and lower lashes. It opens up your eyes and makes them stand out some more.

Thread your brows

If you think you do not need to thread your eyebrows, think again. Clean, sharply defined brows really bring out your eyes, so if you have never threaded them, it is time you started. Keep a tweezer handy so you can clean them between threading sessions.

Stay away from bright colours during the day

Save those blood red and maroon lipsticks for after nightfall, and stick to pastels or neutral shades during the day. Light pinks and glosses look great in the day.

Get rid of fuzz

It never fails to amaze me when I see women walking around sprouting a moustache, when getting rid of upper-lip hair is so easy. Always, always remove fine hair on your upper lip, by waxing or threading it off. You could bleach it too, but this does not leave as neat a result as waxing or threading does. Similarly, if you have hair under your chin, remove it. If you have very few hair on your chin, pluck it instead of threading it.

Wax or shave regularly, to get rid of all unwanted body hair.

Groom your hair

Wash your hair three times a week to keep it clean and healthy. If your hair is dry and damaged, wash it less often, perhaps just once a week depending upon the extent of damage.

Keep frizzies at bay by applying a frizz-ease, or by applying 2-3 drops of oil to wet hair.
Choose a hairstyle that complements your face cut, and trim it regularly.

Untidy hair draws from your looks, so keep a brush handy.

Experiment, experiment

Dont be afraid to experiment. Keep trying out different looks and hairstyles. Youll never know what looks good till you try it out. Checking out hairstyles on your photograph on some computer screen isnt as good as the real deal. You have to get out there and try it out for real.

Don't stick to a look

So you found a great hairstyle or lipstick shade, and feel that this is THE one for you. Well, you could be surprised. Maybe it looks good, but then again, maybe you still have to stumble upon something that looks better! So even if you are happy with your present look, after a while, opt for a change.

Affordable Media Make-Up Artistry Schools

Searching out an affordable makeup school can be a daunting task - especially if you're looking for high quality teachers and a small class size. New York and Los Angeles are two of the main places to go for make-up artistry school, however, they're very costly, and class sizes run upwards of 50 students with typically only one teacher.

When you're trying to learn the art of media make-up artistry, it's much more benefical to have a smaller class size so you can have more one-on-one time with the teacher. When you're competing with 49 other students, it's rare that you'll be able to work with the teacher, and have him or her analyze your work to make sure you're doing everything right.

So what options do students have? Luckily, there are affordable make-up schools out there. Typically, these more affordable schools are not located in New York or Los Angeles, which cuts down on overhead a great deal. (Rent alone in LA or NY is tremendously expensive, and those costs are passed down to students.)

One make-up school is actually located in Salt Lake City, Utah. It's called Re-Creation Studios, and it is very affordable, especially compared with other studios. The class size is small, too. Holly, the owner, limits class size to 8, so she can spend a lot of one-on-one time with her students throughout the week-long course. Holly is a very qualified teacher as she has done work on many high profile clients, and is very talented.

At any rate, aspiring media make-up artists should find a school that is a good fit for them, in both class size and price. There are many options to choose from, but picking the one that is right for you is the most important aspect.

Typical Costs Associated With Laser Hair Removal

Do you have areas of unwanted facial or body hair? Are you sick and tired of endless waxing, shaving and plucking? If so, laser hair removal just might be an excellent solution to your problem. In this procedure, the energy from laser light penetrates the skin and converts to heat. This heat can either damage or destroy the hair follicles, dramatically slowing or completely eliminating future hair growth.

There are a number of important factors to consider before opting for this procedure such as whether or not your are a good candidate, the potential risks and the typical costs associate with laser hair removal. For many people, cosmetic surgery costs are a key concern. Fortunately, laser removal is relatively affordable and there are a number of payment and financing options available.

Laser Hair Removal Costs

The actual costs of laser hair removal can vary based on a number of different factors. The size of the area that is treated, the experience level of the laser removal professional and your geographic location can all play an important role. Throughout the United States, the average cost for one laser treatment ranges between $400 and $450 per session. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average price of the procedure is $429.

However, the area of the body that is being treated can also affect the cost. For example, the average price for laser hair removal for the bikini area is between $350 and $500 per treatment. The typical price for areas such as the face, back, arms and legs ranges between $600 and $900 per session.

Paying for Laser Hair Removal

While laser hair removal is more expensive than waxing, shaving and plucking, the fact that it leads to lasting results offers a great deal of appeal for many people. Before you have this procedure, ask first for an estimate of the total costs for the procedure. This total should include the price of the procedure itself as well as any other associated expenses.

Once you have a clear idea of the price of laser hair removal, it is time to think of how you will pay for the procedure. Some laser removal specialists offer payment plans or financing options to their patients. You will, however, probably need to make a substantial down payment before the procedure is performed.

Other payment options include credit card or cosmetic surgery loans. Many people choose to use their credit cards, but always consider the interest rates and how they will affect your ability to repay. Loans frequently feature much lower interest rates, making them a great option for many patients. Assess your own financial situation in order to determine if this procedure fits into your budget and find the best payment option for your needs.

Eyebrow Plucking Tips

Plucking is the best way to shape your eyebrows, although some women prefer waxing. But be warned: this is best done by a professional unless you want to wax off half an eyebrow. Eyebrow plucking is an art. There is skill, patience and creativity involved. You'll need good vision, the perfect tools and a sense of symmetry. For starters, look at your eyebrows in a mirror. Step back at least three feet so that you have a full, clear perspective of what your facial features. Pluck your eyebrows when your pores are open. This is either after a shower or after you have applied a hot face cloth to your skin for a few minutes. Perfect eyebrows almost transcend the beauty of the face and make an immediate visible impact in a makeover session. The best time to pluck your eyebrows are after you get out of the shower. The pores are still open and it doesn't sting quite as much.

Stopping to access your plucking progress will help measure your results and prevent over-plucking. Eyebrow plucking should ideally be timed just before hitting the sack as the sleep time that follows allows any subsequent redness to disappear overnight. Slant edge tweezers, which grip hairs easily, are best for shaping brows while combing hairs one way, then the other, helps remove loose strands. Pluck hairs in the direction that they grow. Doing so will keep the hairs smooth and will hurt less.pluck stray hairs underneath the eyebrow arch and anything else outside the natural brow line. Eyebrow plucking tips to help you achieve beautiful eyebrows. After plucking a few hairs, always stop to look at what you have done. You may be over-plucking and you might not even realize it.

Tips for eyebrow tweezing / plucking:

1. Do not tweeze too much.

2. The hair can be softened first with a hair conditioner or shaving cream.

3. If your brows are making the slight arc then you have the best brow.

4. Do clean skin. Brush your brows up and out.

5. Use a good pair of tweezers to tweeze your brows. Use magnifying mirror and do the task in perfect bright light.

6. Eyebrows slanting upwards make you look angry, so be careful not to take off too much at the outer corners.

7. If you want both top and bottoms to be smooth as much as you can, you can pluck the top and the bottom.

8. Do not over pluck your brows. Plucking with proper care and in limitations is as important as tweezing or plucking.

9. Once plucking is done, apply some good quality gel to remove redness etc. Applying gel will make your eyes calm and finish irritation due to tweezing or plucking.

Homeschool Lessons from the Class- A New Way to Teach Math - The Magic Numbers

There is a story, one of several stories, which actually changes how a student looks at math. Although is it an easy story to learn, it is very specific in design. It reaches auditory, kinesthetic and visual learners and includes mnemonic devices to make easy to remember. It can reach students that have struggled with math for years. It is actually more effective with younger students as it helps creates an understanding of math before bad habits like finger counting develop.

The story is simple: Your mother is chasing a spider around the house when she swings and accidentally breaks the window.

This story is one you can teach to a student anywhere such as in the car on your way to soccer practice, in the living room during a commercial or while taking a walk to the corner store. You can embellish the story and make it more personal, laughing about how much Mom freaks out about the spider. You can even have the student imagine the story in great detail, talking about how big the spider is and how loud it is when the window shatters. Although the core of the story can't be changed, it is a story that will taught uniquely by each individual teacher who will add their own style and energy.

This story includes several mnemonic devices. Each image represents a specific part of a math fact, for example the number eight is represented by a spider which has a body that looks like and eight and eight legs. It includes personal connections (Mom), imagery (black spider), and actions (breaking window) which will make the story stick in both the short term and long term memory. It also uses tangible images like a golf club and a spider that can be remember more easily than abstract concepts. In short, it is a story that can be easily remembered.

The usual way for a student to learn eight times nine is to add nine together eight times. Not only is this time consuming, it is also boring. By nature this method creates confusion with other math facts as none are distinct from the others. It is easy to mix up seven times eight with six times nine. The traditional method of drill and practice takes many hours and often only reaches a few of the students in a class.

In contrast teaching math by using a vivid image of a memorable story will produce markedly different results. When asked what eight times nine is a student will recall the image for eight (a spider) and nine (golf) and the story that goes with them. They will easily remember that the house (the bigger image) represents seventy as the roof is shaped like a seven and the window (the smaller image) represents two. This connects all the numbers, making it easy to remember that eight times nine is seventy two. It will work for the reverse (division) just as easily. With less than twenty unique but specific stories to learn, learning the times tables can be a fun adventure.

With all due respect to the traditions that have been successful for many students, there is a way to reach those it hasn't worked for.

The Best Anti Wrinkle Face Cream Is Lifestyle

I'm not against using anti wrinkle face cream, but many people think I am. Here's what I'm against: carring about your skin so much that you will spend a lot of money on expensive creams, while at the same time living a lifestyle that is damaging to the skin. Why spend money on anti wrinkle face cream, only to behave in a way that will basically undo what the cream is supposed to do. To get the best results from that expensive wrinkle cream, why not live a lifestyle that will literally multiply the effectiveness of the cream?

If you smoke cigarettes and you are so concerned about your skin that you are spending money on expensive anti wrinkle face cream, then you have to stop smoking, now! Smoking actually speeds up the aging of our bodies. How does it do that? To explain simply, smoking promotes the destruction of cells, including skin cells. This is what aging is. It is my belief that any good and expensive anti wrinkle face cream will be twice as effective if you quit smoking.

Do you eat a lot of processed food, like frozen trays of macaroni and cheese, canned foods and vegetables, hot pockets, and any food with lots of sugar, even sugar in your coffee? If so, then your eating habits are very likely speeding up your aging. You are what you ate. A diet that actually slows down the aging process making you look years younger is made up of mostly fresh and unprocessed vegetables and fruits and very few or no processed foods. Give the anti wrinkle face cream you are spending tons of money on a fighting chance to work its magic. If you are going to continue smoking and eating poorly, then don't bother buying the cream.

Diet and overall lifestyle by far have the greatest effect on anti aging. Anyone truly concerned about looking younger, enough to pay a significant amount of money on anti aging wrinkle cream, should seriously consider making lifestyle changes that will support anti aging.

Eating mostly fresh and raw foods can actually reverse the aging process, taking years off your life and having a much greater effect on your skin than any cream can.

I encourage you to modify your lifestyle to promote anti aging. You will feel tons better, have more energy and look younger all over. You probably won't even need an anti aging wrinkle cream.

Before & After - Preparing for Your Cosmetic Surgery

The decision to have cosmetic surgery is an important one that requires a great deal of thought. Once you have decided this is what you want to do, it is important to prepare beforehand to ensure a safe and uneventful surgery and recovery period. With a little extra attention to detail and careful pre-planning, you'll soon be waking up to a brand new you!

Taking time off

It is unwise to rush your recovery, so being able to take time off from work, make adequate child care arrangements and ensure your family and household are cared for is of prime concern. The amount of time you will need to rest and recuperate is different with each type of cosmetic surgery. However, discussing these arrangements well in advance of the day of surgery with your cosmetic surgeon and your family or friends will go a long way toward making sure you've got all the bases covered and can be ready for your procedure with peace of mind.

Financing

Have you thought about how you will pay for your cosmetic surgery procedure? You may need more time to save the funds, or you may be applying for financing or planning to use a credit card. Knowing if you will qualify for financing or making sure you have available credit with your credit card company can help you avoid disappointment. And don't forget that you'll be missing time from work as well, which may mean your paycheck is going to be on the light side. Again, procedure costs vary widely, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure you not only have enough to pay for the surgery, but enough in reserves to cover your regular expenses just in case.

Personal needs

Do you need to fill any prescriptions? Are there bills that must be paid before you begin your procedure? Perhaps you have pets that must be boarded or otherwise arranged for. If you receive regular deliveries of newspapers, magazines and so forth, you may want to have them temporarily suspended. This applies to your daily mail as well. You will also want to speak to your cosmetic surgeon to find out what personal items such as clothing and toiletries you will be permitted to bring with you to the hospital and recovery facility. You might be surprised to know how comforting it can be to have your own clothing and things around you post-surgery.

Preparing socially

Are you considering keeping your surgery a secret from friends, family and co-workers? This is a personal decision. But consider telling at least one trusted individual so you will have someone to rely on who can not only handle your affairs if necessary, but can also be a shoulder to lean on. You might want to talk about your fears, frustration and excitement.

The results of cosmetic surgery change lives, but the surgical procedure can be a physically and emotionally challenging experience. Thinking about the positive changes you'll enjoy after your surgery is very exciting! With judicious planning and a little help from your friends, you'll really be able to revel in the new you.

Tattoo Removal Options

Looking for tattoo removal options to get rid of that sailor tattoo you got in your younger years?
Maybe you're tired of looking at the inked name of the person who is no longer your significant other.

Options have increased over the years and so has the effectiveness and the results you can experience. Some hair removal processes can also be used for tattoo removal. Laser systems normally used for hair removal can also be used to get rid of unwanted ink. So can light-based hair removal systems.

In each case, light energy is used to destroy the tattoo ink. The light energy gets absorbed by the tattoo ink and the ink breaks up as a result. The ink then then gets filtered out of your body. Typically, the use of laser or light-based treatment results in the same sort of feeling experienced when these two options are used for hair removal:

The feeling is similar to snapping an elastic band against your skin so in that regard, people tend to experience little discomfort.

Some practitioners might use an anesthesia on the skin to minimize pain. The level of pain or discomfort you experience can vary so its best to check with your practitioner beforehand. The time needed to complete your treatment obviously depends on the size of your tattoo and you may require several treatments to completely remove it. To find a practitioner offering tattoo removal, you might search for local laser or light-based hair removal practitioners who also specialize in tattoo removal. The practitioner I used for light-based hair removal treatment also offered tattoo removal treatment using the same machine.

Local plastic surgeons and dermatologists might also offer these services or they might at least point you in the right direction.

Reverse the Signs of Aging through Microdermabrasion

In the field of skin rejuvenation, there are a lot of surgical and non-surgical options that you can choose from. Your skin, especially on the face, is one of your best assets that gives out the first impression and serves as the window to your personality. Thus, you should take extra care and exert some effort into making sure that your skin is smooth, soft and blemish-free. There are a lot of factors which can result to skin damage, and aging is one of them. To reverse the signs of aging, you can undergo a skin rejuvenation program. Microdermabrasion is an example of a non-surgical procedure to reveal a newer and fresher layer of the skin by removing the dull and damaged outer layer. This dermatological treatment is one of the most popular choices because it is safe, effective, quick and does not have any side effects to most patients.

It is best to consult a dermatologist to know about the specifications of the treatment that you will be under if you decide to go for microdermabrasion. This treatment is suitable for people who would like to lessen or eliminate the effects of aging, sun damage and acne. It also helps remove or lessen unsightly scars, dark spots and other blemishes. The immediate effect of microdermabrasion is to remove the superficial layer of the skin, along with the dull and dead skin cells. The pores are also cleansed, giving you a younger-looking and fresher skin.

Although the procedure gives out the same effect, there are several different techniques used in microdermabrasion. The name microdermabrasion actually implies how the procedure is done. For the first type of procedure, the outer skin layer of the skin is peeled off and abrasive micro-crystals are used to exfoliate and deep-cleanse the skin's surface. The second type of microdermabrasion procedure is done using crystal machines where typically, a sandblaster is used to shoot very fine, crystal-like particles on the skin. This will then remove the dead skin cells and peel off the superficial skin layer. Corundum or aluminum oxide, sodium chloride crystals, magnesium oxide crystals and sodium bicarbonate crystals are used in the microdermabrasion procedure. Finally, there is the crystal-free microdermabrasion procedure, where a device which has a diamond tip is used to chafe the skin and remove the outer layer.

To optimize the effects of microdermabrasion, there are some cases wherein you need to undergo more than one treatment. The treatment should also be combined with a skin rejuvenation program to achieve maximum results. Microdermabrasion is indeed a cost-effective, quick and effective way to reverse the signs of aging. The next time that you see yourself in the mirror, you will see a newer, younger-looking you with microdermabrasion treatment.
